Calling ESG & Fintech startups!

This November, Factory Berlin and its partner Mastercard are joining forces to host a Meet & Pitch for innovative startups – open to all founders based in Berlin.

Selected teams will get five minutes to pitch their startup, team and business plan in front of an expert jury and an audience of founders, investors, and startup enthusiasts.

The winning pitch will be invited to a thought leadership session with an industry expert from Mastercard and 3-Months of Factory Berlin Network + Campus Memberships for founding team.

For pitch competition application fill-out this form before November 20th.

After the planned pitches, everyone from the audience will have an opportunity to steal the microphone and make a 1-minute elevator pitch.

Prior to joining AENU as Principal and VP of Impact, Melina Sánchez was setting up a $5M Fund for the Alfred Landecker Foundation as its Managing Director and helped build the World Economic Forum’s COVID Alliance for Social Entrepreneurs. Before that, Melina worked as an investor in Israel and the U.S. As Director of the Tuck Social Venture Fund.

At Impact First and Pitango Venture Capital, a $3B Israeli VC fund, she supported the growth fund and developed an IMM tool for startups. Before working in impact VC, Melina worked in diplomacy and built an international non-profit. Melina has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA from Yale University.

Karo Hajduk is a founder at Growth&Glory and Thursday Dinners. She architects ventures, scales them operationally and builds the ecosystem of founders, investors and experts associated with the tech scene.

She has over 12 years of intersectional experience in People, Organisational Development and Venture Building gained in the tech hubs of London, San Francisco and Berlin. Her experience spans over start-ups (including her own, YellowDuck), scale-ups (N26 twice!), venture builders and corporate spin-offs (including the first wave of deep-tech innovation).

Currently, she focuses on ClimateTech ventures helping founders and corporate innovators develop solutions that are both good for the planet and good for the business.

Sebastian Neumann is Head of PHINEO STARTUPS. Driven by the notion that the world’s crises are interconnected and his belief in the innovative power of impact entrepreneurs to solve those crises, he has built an impact incubator as a new division of PHINEO gAG – the non-profit pioneer for impact investing and measurement in Germany.

Previously, he co-founded an innovation consulting firm with offices in Berlin and Munich to help organizations on the path to sustainable transformation by developing new business models and startup programs.

Before he worked at a company builder and digital consultancy as a team lead to support organizations to develop digital solutions and set-up innovation units. He studied Strategic Management at Dublin Institute of Technology, Design Thinking at Hasso Plattner Institute and on climate change at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Andreas Spengel is leading the Central European activities of Mastercard in the Fintech, Platform and New Verticals segments and responsible for growth initiatives.​

In his role he is part of the Central European Management team.​ Andreas has 25+ years of experience in the financial services industry starting his career at Deutsche Bank and then moved subsequently to OliverWyman and Allianz Global Corporate.​

Andreas holds an MBA (Diplom Kaufmann) as well as a PHD (Dr. rer. pol.) in business administration from the University of Bayreuth.

Michaela Fleischer is the Chief Operating Officer at Finoa, which is a regulated crypto-asset platform that supports institutional investors with digital asset custody and staking services and offers seamless access to the DeFi ecosystem.

Prior to Finoa, Michaela was the VP of Core Banking and Technology at Holvi where she was responsible for the payment platform and operations. She also led Finance Operations at Revolut, Digital Operations and Outsourcing Management at N26, and was managing a variety of strategic projects during her time at Deutsche Bank. Michaela has a Master degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Mannheim.

If members do not wish to appear on such recordings, they can inform Factory Berlin or the respective photographer at the event at any time.
