Factory Network is entering a new era.
For years, we’ve been a vibrant ecosystem for founders, innovators, and creatives, connecting people, ideas, and resources across our Berlin and Hamburg campuses. As we look to the future, we’re excited to announce that changes are on the horizon.
Our new vision is to build a platform for Europe’s best talent. While the world faces a landscape of endless output, we believe great ideas still need great people to bring them to life, and that these great minds will always be more important than a robot or an algorithm.
Leading this next chapter is our new CEO, Stefan Krause, who, together with our founder, Udo Schlömer, will be shaping a space where exceptional talent can be scaled and great ideas can be built.
Please note that it’s business as usual for our existing community members and tenants. We are currently in the process of refurbishing our Mitte building to improve our spaces. If you have any questions, you can find more information in our FAQs.
We can’t wait to have you on board as we embark on this dynamic new chapter.
Our platform will embody the fusion of industries, resulting in a diverse ecosystem where art meets technology and experience meets innovation. This interdisciplinary synergy will spark solutions that redefine our world, fuel transformation, and shape our future.

Our Story
Factory started with a singular vision: to create a home for innovators. In 2014, our founder, Udo Schlömer, opened Germany’s first international tech network, Factory Berlin Mitte, on the former site of the Berlin Wall. The space was designed by architect Julian Breinersdorfer and interior designers Anna Sophie Rickers and Sabrina Heimig-Schloemer.
Our community quickly grew, leading us to expand. In 2018, we opened Factory Berlin Görlitzer Park, a 14,000 sqm campus with labs, workspaces, and event spaces. Then in 2021, we introduced Factory Hammerbrooklyn at the heart of Hamburg’s Digital District.
Like many, we faced new challenges in the wake of the pandemic and the shift to remote work. This unfortunately led to the closure of our Görlitzer Park campus in 2024, allowing us to refocus on our original home.
Today, we’re building on our legacy with a renewed vision. Watch this space as we reimagine our approach and platform to empower the next generation of great founders. This is just the beginning of our next chapter. We invite you to join us.
