General Upgrade & Downgrade Guidelines
- A new Membership Package will only come into effect on the 1st day of the upcoming month. While it is possible to request the change any time, your newly requested Membership Package will not become effective until the next month.
- A request can be made up until noon on the last day of the month.
- You can revoke your package change request before it comes into effect by clicking the ‘Cancel pending request’ button in your Member Profile.
If you wish to change your membership package, please follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Member Profile.
- Click on the icon in the top right corner which shows your profile picture.
- Select ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Membership Packages’.
Once you’re logged in, you can do the following:
- Change your Login Data.
- Download your Invoices.
- Update your Payment Details.
- Manage your Membership Packages.
- Purchase a Campus Day Pass or a Company Registration Add-ons.
- Cancel your Membership.
Immediately in the overview, you will be able to see your current Membership Package (‘Active’). If you would like to change it, click on the ‘Select’ button under the chosen package. An additional window will appear where you will be asked to confirm that you are aware of the fee and features of the new package. By continuing, you also confirm that you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
In the case of a successful change, a confirmation message will appear at the top of your screen, together with the date on which your new Membership Package will come into effect.

You can download your invoices directly in your Member Profile under ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Invoices’.
You can as well update your payment details or change your billing email address under ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Payment Details’. Please keep in mind that your billing email address is not the same as the email address used to register your Factory Berlin account and therefore makes part of your billing information. Your billing information can only be changed by yourself directly in your Member Profile, as our team is not allowed to alter it.

You can cancel your Factory Berlin membership directly in your Member Profile under ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Cancel Membership’.
We kindly ask you to keep in mind that we have a cancellation notice period of one (1) full month. This means that a membership will cease at the end of the next membership month following the formal notice. Please note that we have a three-month minimum commitment period in place, so the earliest you can cancel your membership is three months after your membership starts.
Example: If you submit your cancellation on any date during April, your membership will remain active throughout the month of May and will, therefore, cease on 1st June, given that you’ve been a member for at least three months.
If you leave a company based at Factory Berlin or Factory Hammerbrooklyn you have been working for, you don’t need to cancel your membership manually. However, you’re welcome to stay a member of the community on one of our individual Membership Packages, should you decide that this is something you want.

Our Ambassador Program helps your colleagues and friends to be fast-tracked in the application process. You can find your Ambassador Code directly in your Member Profile under ‘Ambassador Code’. Nevertheless, we have the right to reject people if:
- their application is not filled out properly;
- we don’t see the person as a good fit for the community.
A ‘good fit’ means that the person you recommended has an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset, and is willing to collaborate, give first, share their knowledge/experience/network/etc.
With the Ambassador Code in place, we believe that you have a clear understanding of Factory Berlin’s vision, culture, and of who would be a great and valuable addition to our community.

What is the new Credit System?
Starting from 1st October 2023, we have a new Credit System in place which allows our members purchase credits directly in their Member Profile or earn them by engaging with the community. The credits purchased or earned can be spent on booking a Day Pass or a meeting room. This change will affects both teams and individual members across all campuses.
If you are part of a team at Factory Berlin or Factory Hammerbrooklyn, we kindly ask you to reach out to your Account Manager to clarify any questions you might have after reading the information below.
How can I purchase credits?
You can purchase credits directly in your Member Profile. Additionally, all members will be able to earn credits by actively engaging with the Factory Berlin community.
The price per each credit will be 5€. You can also purchase credits in bundles:
- 10 Credits = 45€ (save 5€);
- 20 Credits = 80€ (save 20€);
- 50 Credits = 200€ (save 50€).
For now, you will be able to use credits to:
- Book a Day Pass (4 credits = 20€);
- Book a meeting room, per hour rate based on the meeting room size:
- 4 credits (20€)/hour for the smallest room (max. 6 people) → minimum 30 minutes.
- 5 credits (25€)/hour for the regular size room (max. 8 people) → minimum 30 minutes.
- 6 credits (30€)/hour for 10 people; 1 extra credit for every 2 people capacity added.
Please note: the Company Registration will continue to be billed the regular way.
Once purchased, the credits cannot be canceled or refunded. However, the credits do not expire, and you can use them at any time. The credits will be invoiced directly with a dedicated invoice, as with Day Passes.
How can I earn credits?
You can also earn credits by actively engaging with the Factory Berlin and Factory Hammerbrooklyn community. Here are the possible ways to earn credits:
- Apply to participate as a mentor or expert in a Factory Berlin program.
- Refer a friend (via Ambassador Code), given their application is successful.
- Apply to call-out for a Factory Berlin event or program.
- Attend an event hosted by the Factory Berlin team.
Please note: To redeem credits for attending events or referring members, please check in at all events, and ensure that your referred members use your Ambassador Code in their application.

Network Membership (€30 NET / €35.70 INCL. VAT PER MONTH)
As a Network Member of Factory Network you have access to our curated network, digital tools, events and programs, as well as to our diverse range of perks and discounts. Please see below what this means:
- Network: Network members gain access to an interdisciplinary community of professionals. Our curated network will support you in realizing your creative and entrepreneurial ambitions. It will inspire you, and give you, your work, and your ideas a home. Check out this article to learn more about our curated network.
- Digital Tools: Network members get access to our Member Platform which serves as our internal business and employment-oriented service and is used for professional networking, career development, and allows our members to post job opportunities and discover potential job seekers. - Events & Programming: Our curated events create opportunities that allow our members and the wider tech community in Berlin and Hamburg to connect, grow, and collaborate. We also have a number of programs and initiatives in place that facilitate our members’ unique drive to create and innovate together. The following services are not included and would need to be purchased as add-ons to the Network Membership base subscription.
- Campus Access: This service is not included in the Network Membership (i.e. campus access is not possible, even as the guest of another member). To be able to access any of our locations, you would need to purchase a Day Pass add-on.
- Campus Day Pass Add-on (€20 net / €23.80 incl. VAT): Each Day Pass gives one full day of access to any of our locations, including the use of all on-site facilities. Find out more here.
- Company Registration & Postal Service: This service is not included in the Network Membership, however it also can be purchased as an add-on.
- Company Registration Add-on (€30 net / €35.70 incl. VAT per company per month): With this add-on you can register up to three (3) companies at one of our addresses, and also have access to our Postal Service. Find out more here.
Do keep in mind that all Network members coming to an event can use our spaces before and after it on the same day — no Day Pass needed. Something to keep in mind when you are coming for an event and want to work on site:
- If you have a Day Pass purchased, it will be automatically deducted from your account upon check-in.
- We will make sure that this Day Pass is automatically reissued on the day of the event or on the next day.
- Remember to bring your Member Card with you, as we would ask you to check in at the event later on. Note that we won’t be able to reissue a Day Pass if you haven’t checked in to the event.

Network + Campus Membership (€170 NET / €202.30 INCL. VAT PER MONTH)
As a Network + Campus Member of Factory Network, you have access to our curated network, campuses and campus facilities, digital tools, events and programs, as well as to our diverse range of perks and discounts. Please see below what this means:
- Network: Network + Campus members gain access to an interdisciplinary community of professionals. Our curated network will support you in realizing your creative and entrepreneurial ambitions. Campus Day Pass (€20 NET / €23.80 INCL. VAT PER DAY)
Network Members can purchase Campus Day Pass Add-ons for campus access to any of our locations, including the use of all on-site facilities: coffee, tea, Wi-Fi, printers, lockers, and showers.
Purchase your Campus Day Pass:
- You can purchase a Day Pass directly in your profile under ‘Day Passes’.
- Campus Day Passes can be purchased at any time and in any amount.
- You will be charged as soon as you confirm your purchase.
- Campus Day Passes have no expiry date.
- You can’t cancel the purchase of a Day Pass.
Pre-book your campus visit:
- Once you have purchased a Day Pass, you need to pre-book your visit to ensure you will have access to our campuses.
- You can pre-book your visit directly in your Member Profile at any time.
- You can cancel a campus visit up to 24 hours in advance.
How to purchase this add-on:
- Log in to your Member Profile.
- Click on the icon in the top right corner which shows your profile picture.
- Select ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Membership Packages’.

Company Registration (€30 NET / €35.70 INCL. VAT PER COMPANY PER MONTH)
Both Network and Network + Campus Members can purchase Company Registration Add-ons for up to three (3) companies per member.
The Company Registration Add-on works as follows:
- You can purchase this add-on directly in your profile under ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Membership Packages’.
- The day you purchase the add-on automatically is the day your company registration starts.
- You can register your company at any of our locations across Berlin and Hamburg.
- The add-on can be purchased at any time and for up to three companies.
- Each company registration is billed as a recurring monthly subscription.
- If purchased mid-month, the subscription charge will be prorated.
How to purchase this add-on:
- Log in to your Member Profile.
- Click on the icon in the top right corner which shows your profile picture.
- Select ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Membership Packages’.

GermanyHow long do you store mail? What happens if I don’t pick up my mail in time?
We will store your mail for the period of 14 days since the notification was sent. We kindly ask you to collect your mail within this period of time, otherwise it would be sent back.
Will I be notified about incoming mail?
Yes, our Community Desk Team will inform you and/or your authorized contact of the incoming mail, and you would have to pick it up within our 14-day collection period. Please keep in mind that we notify our members about the earliest letter that arrived and simply continue to collect whatever comes afterward under your name.
How do I authorize another member to pick up mail for me?
If needed, you can authorize one other member to pick up mail for you/your company. This means that they will also be notified when mail arrives. You can add another member’s name under the Company Registration section in your Member Profile to authorize them to pick up mail for your company.
I’ve been contacted by mail, but I’m not the right contact person. What should I do?
If you are not the right contact person for this, please remove the company name from your Member Profile under ‘Manage Membership’ > ‘Postal Companies’ and ensure that the right contact person adds the company name to their profile under ‘Postal Companies’ instead.
If you have been authorized to pick up mail by another member of their company, you will need to ask them to deauthorize you by removing your name from their Member Profile.
Can I get a document to prove my membership and company registration?
In case, for example, your local Tax Administration (Finanzamt) requests proof of your company’s registration at Factory Berlin or Factory Hammerbrooklyn, you can download an electronic membership confirmation document for your company registration directly in your Member Profile under ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Company Registration’.
Can I buy stamps and envelopes at reception?
Unfortunately, we are not able to supply stamps and envelopes to members. However, we will send out letters for members should the letter already be in an envelope with stamps.
