Feniska: Offering Preventative Healthcare for Pets
What’s Feniska? Give us your Elevator Pitch.
Ropa: Feniska is a pet tech company from Berlin, which uses IoT and Data Analytics to create a holistic platform that empowers pet owners to make better decisions about the wellbeing and health of their pets. Our first products consist of an app and smart devices to collect and analyze data about dogs and cats.
How has the reception been of the product so far?
Ropa: Our product has only been made available to hand-picked pilot customers – and they love it. The most common feedback is that the product is incredibly easy-to-use. The most surprising learning is that the pet owners enjoy checking the app regularly to see what their pets are up to!
Applications are now closed. Stay tuned for news and updates.
What motivated you to apply to the Stealth Mode program?
Sonita: Firstly, I love the focus of the Stealth Mode program, which is female, non-binary and underrepresented founders. Secondly, I applied because the program provides workshops and an ecosystem of support to leverage your business.
What role do you think ‘network’ has in empowering a founder’s journey?
Ropa: Plenty of first time founders lack the experience of running or growing a business, so a great network and mentors will support and guide you in the right direction. Additionally, a network can also help you grow as a founder and become a good leader or cheer and build you up if things are not going quite well. Also, having access to a network is crucial for every founder that is fundraising.
What’s your vision for the future of the tech industry?
Sonita: Women led tech companies are rare, women founded tech companies are rare. And it’s not because women can’t or don’t want to found tech companies, it’s just that the environment or society that they live in is not adjusted to their needs/ challenges. Our vision for the future of the tech industry is that it breaks down the barriers and exclusion that were created for certain founder archetypes.
We want to see a tech industry where women have support systems, and can have both a fulfilling career and fulfilling personal/family life. We want to see a tech industry where women have support systems, and can have both a fulfilling career as well as and fulfilling personal and family life.
